We Moved.
We Packed.
We Learned.
We Levelled Up.
From soggy cardboard to smarter packing — built on years of hard work and real-world moving experience. Those knowledge gains are finally paying off.
About Us
We’ve moved… a lot
After more than a decade in the Melbourne moving game (yep, we’ve seen it all—wonky couches, mystery boxes, and more bubble wrap than we care to admit), one thing became clear: cardboard kinda sucks. It breaks. It bends. It ends up in landfill. And don’t get us started on soggy boxes during Melbourne’s surprise rainstorms.
So, we thought—there’s got to be a better way.
Enter NorthBox: a cleaner, greener, and way less stressful way to move. We deliver tough-as-nails plastic crates to your door, you pack without the tape drama, and we pick them up when you're done. Simple as that.
Our Vibe (Before “Our Values”)
At NorthBox, we’re not just here to drop off boxes—we’re here to change the way Melbourne moves. That means less waste, less stress, and more good vibes. Everything we do is backed by a set of values that keep us grounded, honest, and just a little cheeky.
Keep It Fair
No sneaky fees. No cardboard surprises. Just honest prices that make sense, so you know exactly what you’re getting (and paying for). Moving’s stressful enough—we don’t do nasty surprises.
People First, Always
Whether you’re a first-time mover or a seasoned packer, we’re here to help. We keep it personal, we listen, and we actually care. Because nobody wants to deal with a faceless company when they’ve got their life in crates.
Planet Over Plastic
We’re on a mission to cut the crap—literally. Cardboard waste? No thanks. Our crates are reusable, recyclable, and ready to roll. Better for your move, better for Melbourne, better for the planet.
Say It Like It Is
We believe in being upfront, transparent, and real. No corporate fluff. No dodgy fine print. Just a crew that keeps its word and does the job right—every single time.
Meet Facundo – The Brains Behind the Boxes
Hi, I’m Facundo Soto, co-founder of NorthBox and long-time moving day warrior.
After more than 10 years in the moving industry (yep, I’ve lugged fridges up more stairs than I can count), I realised one big thing: cardboard just wasn’t cutting it. Too flimsy. Too wasteful. Too many soggy disasters in Melbourne rain.
So we launched NorthBox—a better way to move. Our goal? Make packing easier, ditch the waste, and help Melbourne move smart with reusable plastic crates that actually do the job.

Why NorthBox?
If you’re ready to move the smart way, we’ve got your back (and your boxes). Let’s pack like pros, without trashing the planet!
We also team up with partners who make moving day easier. Our official partner Selectra helps Melbourne movers compare and connect electricity, gas and internet at their new place, so the lights are on when the crates arrive.
